What’s your role at ProCo?

Client Services Manager – Tech Services Division

What does your role entail?

I manage a team of account managers who look after our automated client base. I also look after strategic projects and clients that don’t sit in automation or everyday Tharstern customers for example Thortful & BBC Children in Need. I would also account manage one off projects like the Election campaign we recently worked on.

Whats the best thing about working at ProCo?

The people. The ProCO team & clients, I love getting to know the people that make ProCo successful, their personalities & idiosyncrasies are amazing

If you weren’t doing the job you do what would you be doing?

I would have liked to have worked within mental health with young adults, this is such a complex area and as the years go by it’s clearly evident that people need more help than ever before. By the time I figured out what I actually wanted to do I was full blown in the middle of my career within the print industry. I try to do what I can though, just listening to people can really help, so many people feel they don’t have a voice so don’t open up about their feelings, thoughts & fears.

When I was growing up I wanted to be a model maker, making characters & sets for TV programmes or films.

Who inspires you?

Caitlin Moran, the author & journalist, basically for telling it like it is. For making it easier to be a woman, normalising all the thoughts that run through our heads, the questions, the insecurities. Making us feel good about ourselves, helping us to question. In a word EMPOWERING.

Plus, I know it sounds like a cliché but my family are my inspiration, each day they make me strive to be a better person, I get to see the world through their eyes as well as my own & I learn something every day. I try to be a strong female role model to my Children especially my 2 daughters but also my son as he is the next generation who can make a difference.

Whats your mantra/favourite quote?

There are far too many for me to list but if I had to pick they would be, “You’re only remembered for how you make people feel” & “True intelligence is an open mind”
